Kapinzal Social Foundation

Kapinzal Social Foundation is a facilitator platform developed by a group of young educated spirit of Sikkim playing a decisive role in mainstream social issues across the state of Sikkim. It is able to achieve the milestones with the help of devoted and expert team. By casting local communities with its team, its efforts are now successful and reflected in the visible positive changes. It is an NGO registered under Societies Registration Act, 1860 in the year 2000 plays role of a catalyst in institutional development, which strategies are focused and well planned to achieve the desired objectives.

VOLUNTEER
An effort, as small as spending time helping others, can go a long way in bringing change in lives of many. The sheer feeling of accomplishment or joy that you get by lending a helping hand to people and organizations can be quite overwhelming. If you share our vision and believe in our cause of creating “An environment where everyone has a decent place of life”, come volunteer with us. Our volunteer program seeks and mobilizes volunteer for a life-transforming experience, one that re-enforces the volunteers’ trust in humanity and empowers the community, by secure services. 

We at Kapinzal Social Foundation, provide you with the opportunity to participate in projects dealing with health, community development, child education, disadvantaged residents and many more. We aim to improve the living conditions of the locals in India basically in the State of Sikkim and need your support for doing so. These projects will not only help the less fortunate but also help you as a volunteer to know another culture, may be another language and make new friends for life. Those who want to discover something new and are willing to share his or her knowledge and experience can plan a volunteer tour to India with us. We welcome everyone to join this adventure. While working as a volunteer in local projects, you also get to know and discover the country through excursions. Workshops and orientation courses are provided to help you learn about the language, culture and traditions of India. This will facilitate your volunteer work in India. We also cooperate with local organizations for the volunteering projects. These local organizations have dedicated professional staff to provide strong field support. Above all, they ensure that your efforts make a positive difference to those in need. Our volunteer opportunities include the safety and security of each volunteer is given an utmost priority during the volunteer period, apart form that the Volunteer should make arrangement of his/her VISA to India, travel to and fro etc by him or herself or may regourly pursue and find sponsors from their own Country. INTERNSHIP VOLUNTEER
Intern is one who works in a temporary position with an emphasis on on-the-job training rather than merely employment. You could be a student or about to start a new career for yourself. As an Intern in Kapinzal Social Foundation you will be unpaid as we lack resources to support you, but on the other hand we will support you completely and make sure that your experience with us makes you a thorough professional in your work life. The skills required for the assignment provided to you would be provided. The time for the Internship could be 6 – 12 weeks, but can be shorter or longer.

These are the kinds of Internship that we offer: Work experience Internship: Most often this will be in the second or third year of the school or College period. The placement can be from 2 months to sometimes even one full year (it's your wish). During this period the intern is supposed to use the things he has learned in College or school and put it in practice. This way the Interns gets work experience in their field of study. The gained experience will be helpful to finish up the last year of the study.

Research Internship (graduation) or dissertation Internship: This is mostly done by students that are in their last year. With this kind of Internship a student does research for the Foundation or one of our subsidiary organizations. There are many areas where we need inputs after intense research. You can help us with that through these efforts.

Another kind of Internship will be those students interested in taking a year off after completing their undergraduate degree to give them an opportunity to travel or do some kind of volunteer work or Internship. They may not feel quite ready to settle down in a job or make decisions based on establishing a career or settling down in a new location. The focus areas of Internship could be in health care, women's issues, and education of children, culture, child development, sustainable development, and income generation. However, Volunteering India can craft an Internship projects in nearly any area you wish.

Support for your Internship with us. You would need support for travel, stay and our fee. Academic credit is a possibility for many Internships. However, the Internship will need to be approved for credit by your college and you may need a faculty sponsor. The Internship sponsor must also agree to supervise and evaluate the Internship experience. In many, cases there are school deadlines for applying for credit, so check soon with the appropriate department at your institution. We will provide you full details as to what is expected of you before the start of the Internship. We will discuss the details and the logistics with the Internship sponsor before you start, so the Internship will be a positive experience for both you and Kapinzal Social Foundation.
